Olaudah Equiano was an african who was captured and brought into slavery in Africa. For a while he was helping on a ship with overseers watching him. He was sold in 1763. his owner was a Quaker merchant. He allowed Olaudah to be a clerk. He was lucky and his master let him keep his money he made from the job. his master pretty much Emancipated him. in 1776, Olaudah bought his freedom. He went on to live in London with a family. Olaudah died in 1797 in London.

Difference one When the Africans took the slaves, they left a note explaining their actions. This is different than what the Americans did because when they took the slaves, they just took them leaving them in clandestine.

Difference TwoIf a slave owner had a child with their slave, the child was not sold or killed. America wouldn't allow this with their slaves. They would be commerced as slaves once they were four, five or strong enough that someone would buy them for decent money.

Difference ThreeIn Africa they would allow slaves to marry other slaves. in america they wouldn't allow them to have a relationship.
